Since partnering with Providence Row back in November 2015, staff at Berkeley Homes North East London have volunteered over 100 hours and raised over £30,000 for their charity. Providence Row tackles the root causes of homelessness, and helps people to get off-and stay off-the streets.
Here's how we've done that.....
On Friday 13th November, Irfan jumped 12,000ft from a plane to raise money for Providence Row. He surpassed his fundraising target of 252% raising a massive £1,260 for the charity.
On 11th December 2015 a team of Berkeley Volunteers were at Spitalfields Market staff raced around for 50 minutes to see if they could meet the challenge of raising £500 in 50 minutes. The team came very close with an excellent effort and raised £434.43 for the charity.
We are also supporting our chosen charity through a number of different ways. Over a number of months Berkeley North East London will be involved in sprucing up the Providence Row facilities near Aldgate East. On the 29th January a team of volunteers with paintbrushes in hand took part in decorating the canteen facilities. This is just the start of the process which will see the building being re-decorated and brightening up.
Berkeley staff are also helping Providence Row by volunteering their time to help with English language classes to help boost their skills and confidence.
