Vertical Rush 2016
Tuesday 8th March 2016 saw 220 Berkeley Group employees lace up their trainers and race up the 932 steps of Tower 42 in Central London in the UK's toughest vertical challenge. There were some fantastic times recorded and an incredible £54,000 raised for Shelter, £4,000 over our target.
The 250 City Road team had 6 people take part in the event, some of which trained for months and others who turned up on the day to give it their best. Nevertheless, the team managed to raise over £2,000.
2016 is Shelter's 50th year and all the money raised through the Vertical Rush challenge will be used to help tackle homelessness and bad housing across the UK. Each year the charity helps thousands of people through its fact-to-face advice and support services and answers hundreds of thousands of calls to its helpline.
